Duram Resiflex is a fast cure, high modulus, construction grade, polyurethane joint sealant in 600ml sausages.
Duram Resiflex FC 33 is used to seal and provide waterproofing to: joins, gaps, corners (fillets), penetrations, cracks, bonding tiles and ridge tiles and bonding plastic and metal angles to concrete, timber and FC sheeting substrates.
Concrete, cement, terracotta and earthenware, anodised aluminium, most metals, timber, brick and block work. Generally adheres to most surfaces without priming but they must be sound. dry, clean and free of dust, contaminants and loose matter. If in doubt, prime surface with Duram Primeseal.
The information contained in this product data sheet is typical but does not constitute a full specification as conditions and specific requirements may vary from project to project. The instructions should be considered as a minimum requirement but the applicator or contractor must use their skill, knowledge and experience to carry out additional works as may be necessary to meet the requirements of the project. Specification for specific projects should be sought from the Company in writing.
Not designed for long term direct exposure to sun light.
Avoid contact with skin. In the event of contact with eyes, clean immediately with water and obtain medical attention. Use in well ventilated areas. Keep away from flame and sources of ignition. Contains isocynates.
Good preparation is essential. Surfaces must be sound, stable, dry, clean and free of dust, loose, flaking, friable material and substances that may diminish adhesion.
Apply sealant in continuous strip with enough pressure to properly fill and seal the joint, crack, corner or gap.
Corner fillets should extend at least 10mm along both the vertical and horizontal surfaces at a 45 degree angle and at least 5mm beyond the base rung of mortar.
Allow to at least skin before applying Multithane or Duram 195 over it. Resiflex FC 33 should be fully cured if applying water based membranes over it.
If used to bond tiles, metal or timber surfaces must be supported for up to 15 hours if weight exceeds 8kg per m². Clean up: Use white spirits while still wet. If cured then remove mechanically or manually by scraping.
Painting: The joint can be painted when cured with conventional acrylic or vinyl paints but preliminary tests should be done. Joint movement may result in the paint cracking.
Other Information: Please refer to the data sheet on Duram Leak-Seal Tape for the waterproofing of joints, cracks and gaps.
The stated average coverage rate may vary depending upon type, condition, porosity, texture of the surface and application technique.
Current stocks are grey. However, the product is available in white, tile, or black if quantities are sufficient. Drying and Curing Drying and curing of the product is affected by type, dryness and porosity of the surface, temperature, humidity, ventilation, climate conditions and application technique and therefore drying and curing can only be given as a guide.
